The PM Shri School is a centrally sponsored scheme initiated by the Government of India. Its objective is to establish over 14,500 PM Shri Schools, overseen by the Central Government, State/UT Governments, local bodies, as well as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).
The Scheme is proposed to be implemented over a period of 5 years w.e.f. 2022-23 to 2026-27.K V Kalpetta is one of the 730 KV s fortunate to be selected as PM shri Vidyalaya.at PM shri Kendriya vidyalaya Kalpetta,Under the super vision of the Principal, includes Swachhta Pakwada clean-up drives and a kitchen garden to promote cleanliness and hands-on learning. Modernization efforts involve procuring vending machines, an incinerator, and a wheelchair for CWSN via the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). Additionally, bids for digital library resources and smart classrooms are underway to enhance technological infrastructure, demonstrating our commitment to improving the educational experience and infrastructure.
Various other activities conducted in our vidyalaya under PM shri scheme.Teaching learning materials were purchased for the holistic development of learners in primary classes.New sports items have been procured for various outdoor and indoor games.Health camps and Career guidance and counseling conducted in the Vidyalaya.Expert talks were organised on topic sustainable development. Self defence training and Yoga conducted for the girl students of secondary.Maths / Science circles created to promote activity based learning.Various competitions conducted under 21 st century skill. Activities promoting green school, Knowledge of India, Constitutional values , AEP, Inclusive education, Hands on skill etc were conducted. Toy based pedagogy was another key area under PM shri scheme. Various toys purchased and arranged in the toy library.Field visits and exposure visits conducted under this scheme.
